Hi my name is Niamh. I am a registered Nutritionist and Ayurvedic practitioner. It has been over 10 years since I have graduated with a BSc in Food and Nutrition from the University of Ulster Coleraine. Since then I have had the fortunate opportunity to travel around the world working in places such as Reno Nevada, Perth Australia, and the UK. In 2013, I first became introduced to the ancient holistic medicine of Ayurveda while travelling around Asia.
Ayurveda which is translated to the ‘Science of Life’ has transformed the way in which I look and advise about nutrition and health. In 2017, I travelled to London to study Ayurveda with Dr Deepa Apte who is a medical and Ayurvedic Doctor.
Ayurveda treats the body as a ‘whole’ to help get to the root cause of an illness/problem rather than simply addressing the symptoms. Food is one of the major components of an Ayurvedic therapy plan, however it also suggests herbal remedies, yoga practices, massage therapies and lifestyle changes. This therapy is non-invasive, 100% natural and works alongside traditional medicine.
Since returning to Ireland I have established my business Nutrition To Suit You where I provide one to one and online consultations in health, weight loss, diet related illnesses, corporate nutrition, sports nutrition and cookery classes.
