Naam-Avatar Mindfulness is suitable for anyone new to meditation, or for people with more experience.

Arrival time anytime that suits you between 3.00pm and 6.00pm.

Massages are available. Full-body aromatherapy massage; back massage; head, neck and shoulder massage;  Sound Therapy; Aromatouch, etc. Cost £30 or €35 for 50-mins.

Meditation and Introduction with Tim: intro to Naam-Avatar Mindfulness. Naam is pronounced as rhyming with "calm".

​Depart to visit the Krishna island temple to hear morning chant music, and hearing from some ancient bhakti-yoga texts written in Sanskrit 5000 years ago
8.15 am
Silent mindfulness walk around the forest tracks on the island
8.40 am
Return to retreat house by boat
9.15 am

Introduction to japa mantra walking. Retreat guests may either walk in silence, or walk slowly and peacefully chanting mantra using traditional wooden counting beads. 
11.45 pm
​Relaxation period hearing sacred chant music and a reading of inspirational stories from the Vedas

Departure for the beautiful Florencecourt Estate for a 1 hour 30 mins forest walk. Walking shoes, trainers or runners are acceptable footwear. Includes a period along a river where we do a silent mindfulness walk.

Return from walk

Meditation:  silent meditation on a mantra
6.30pm
​Massages available all evening. Dinner from 6.30pm.

Ayurveda, the ancient Vedic health system recommends massage and therapies as a being beneficial to one's health. So various aromatherapy massages; head, neck and shoulders massage; reflexology foot massage, sound therapy, etc are available by appointment. See here for details. €35 or £30 for a 50-min therapy.

Yoga and Meditation with Tim - a simple power yoga exercise class

Meditation and Visualization

Option 1: Relax in Retreat House at your own pace.

Option 2: Visit to Krishna Temple. Depart Retreat House to walk to jetty for the ferry crossing to Inish Rath Island. Cost £3.50 or €4 for ferry boat.

Ferry to island for temple music chant (30mins) and relaxing around Inis Rath Island
1.00 pm
Talk on Vedic wisdom and philosophy open to the general public. You're welcome to go for a walk around the island during all or part of this period.
2.00 pm
The Sunday Feast in the Temple - a unique cultural experience (and the food is pretty good also!)
3.00 pm
Ferry Departure back to the mainland, and end of retreat

  • £245 or €280 single room from Friday until Sunday
